MarVelous Brown aka DeeDub was born in Savannah, GA on the base of Fort Stewart. Shortly after he was born, he moved to Memphis, TN where he found his love for music. After graduating from Whitehaven High School, DeeDub attended Tennessee State University where he earned a B.S. in Music. During his matriculation at Tennessee State, he participated in the Aristocrat of Bands, Jazz Collegians, and University Wind Ensemble. Participating in these ensembles gave DeeDub the opportunity to travel both domestically and internationally.

He was afforded the opportunity to perform at the 2013 Flower Festival in Medellín, Colombia. In 2014, he was invited to perform in the first 105 HBCU Voice Orchestra to assist in the White House Initiative on HBCUs. In 2016, he participated in the Aristocrat of Bands’ visit to the White House to perform for former President Barack Obama.
